چکیده
Phosphorus (P) is an essential macronutrient for plants and considered as one of the limiting nutrients to plants. The majority P in soil found form insoluble phosphate complexes, making unavailable In present study, we report two highly efficient solubilizing bacteria isolated from closed flower Hedychium coronarium L., a medicinal plant commonly known Gulbakawali. Based on morphological, biochemical, molecular characterization, bacterial isolates were identified genus Pantoea designated HCF6 HCF9. Both these efficiently solubilize tricalcium [Ca 3 (PO 4 ) 2 ] National Botanical Research Institute’s Phosphate (NBRIP) medium by releasing soluble up 2000 μg ml -1 also partially aluminium (AlPO ). HCF9 possess several growth promoting traits evaluated promotion ability using sand medium. Wheat treated with had increased root shoot length dry mass accumulated higher inorganic tissue suggesting their role mobilizing P-complexes. Overall, our findings suggest that both (HCF6 HCF9) represent promising candidates bioinoculants.

The 80% aqueous acetone extract from the flowers of Hedychium coronarium was found to show a protective effect on D-galactosamine-induced cytotoxicity in primary cultured mouse hepatocytes. On the other hand, two new labdane-type diterpene glycosides, coronalactosides I (1) and II (2), and a new labdane-type trinorditerpene, coronadiene (3), were isolated together with 8 known compounds from th...
متن کاملPhosphate solubilization by endophytic bacteria isolated from banana trees.
Forty isolates of endophytic bacteria isolated from banana tree roots were assessed as to their capacity to solubilize phosphate in a solid culture medium supplemented with different inorganic and one organic source of phosphorus. The amount of phosphorus (P) in each liquid medium was quantified, and an indirect assessment of acid phosphatase activity was performed. All assays had a fully rando...
متن کاملPlant growth promotion induced by phosphate solubilizing endophytic Pseudomonas isolates
The use of plant growth promoting bacterial inoculants as live microbial biofertilizers provides a promising alternative to chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Inorganic phosphate solubilization is one of the major mechanisms of plant growth promotion by plant associated bacteria. This involves bacteria releasing organic acids into the soil which solubilize the phosphate complexes converting t...

Five bacterial strains with phosphate-solubilizing ability and other plant growth promoting traits increased the plant biomass (20-40%) by paper towel method. Glasshouse and field experiments were conducted using two efficient strains Serratia marcescens EB 67 and Pseudomonas sp. CDB 35. Increase in plant biomass (dry weight) was 99% with EB 67 and 94% with CDB 35 under glasshouse conditions. I...

Hydro-distilled volatile oils from the flowers and leaves of Eupatorium cannabinum L. which gathered in Touchal on Mountain Alborz (Tehran province) in Iran were investigated mainly by a combination of GC and GC/MS. Thirty-nine components were identified in the oils. The main constituents of the essential oils in flowers and leaves were germacrene D (27.3%, 37.1%), gemacrene B (12.4%, 11.7%) an...
